Craziness is Happiness.
What an absolutely wonderful post from a wonderful person. This level of self-understanding is something I can dream of and work towards. Having the realisation that rolling WITH your moods instead of fighting against them will increase your quality of life is a life-changer for you I am sure.
I am going to read this again and see what I can take from it in my own situation. We are all different but there are threads that connect us, all of us have something that we can share and offer to our fellows.
Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat….
What does that mean? What does Christmas mean? To me as a boy growing up as an only child of fairly comfortable parents I will admit that Christmas meant presents, and that’s about it. I wasn’t spoiled in the “brat” kind of way, but I was very lucky in that my parents (Sorry, Santa, obviously…) showered me with toys on Christmas morning.
Luckily, as I grew up that very much changed. Christmas to me is now and has been for a while all about relaxing and spending time with loved ones. I don’t care if it’s in a mansion ar a shed. I don’t care if we have goose, turkey or cabbage soup. As long as I am with the people that matter most to me and I can see their eyes light up then that’s all that Christmas has to give me this year or any year.
I am also reminded that there are a lot of people for whom even this little present isn’t available so please give a thought for them as you tuck into whatever you have for next Wednesday’s main meal.
